Entrarchic Wars
Inspired by how the first οἶκοι formed toward the end of the Greek Dark Ages and developed into city states, small hereditary commercial organizations formed toward the end of the dark ages that followed the Federation Age ten thousand years ago. These organizations developed into entrarchies, a term related to the fusion of entrepreneurial practices and monarchic leadership. Typically, they are headed by chief entrarchic officers who hold their positions for life, except for abdications or successful challenges.
And, just like Greek city states, these new power centers soon came into conflict with one another. Defined by mighty executives, scheming boards, savage succession rules, rapidly re-evolving technologies, and unrestrained ambitions, brutal fighting ensued with shifting allegiances over three entrarchic wars. The third and last one, for now, established Arakuna-Vela as the most powerful and most technologically advanced entrarchy in the known Void.
However, old resentments and new ambitions simmer. And sinister forces are afoot, rekindling these resentments and ambitions into interstellar conflicts, to sow chaos and prepare for a return of the gods.
